mobile tablets still in lead for web design priority

Still Think Designing Websites for Mobile Devices Isn’t the Way Forward?

It’s official; the mobileaggedon isn’t the only  thing we need to consider with web design. 50-60% of your web traffic is now coming from mobile devices, and for the first time ever we now need to prioritise web design to mobile devices before desktop and laptop computers.

Take a look at this:

I’ve used the most common and mainly plural keywords with relation to their trends to get an accurate result; Tablets may be declining slightly, but they are well ahead of the game with regards to mobiles, desktop and laptops. People are seeing the benefits of 1024 resolution screens because regular browsing on phones is just too difficult; one reason why tablets aren’t going to go away anytime soon.
Responsive design is still being ignored by 25% of web designers who are still sticking to illustrated and static design websites to stick to a custom look and design, but it’s definitive now that Google will place penalties on websites for mobile searches on their website keywords.
